Thanks Jan. both of those flowers are pretty rare now. The Corncockle has been sown deliberately in a conservation area, but the poppy is wild and original as they come.
Who cannot love meadow flowers? The hedgerows are one of Cornwall's many glories. Truro city council plant the dual carriageway central reservation with wild flower seeds for a glorious show and a great message. We see more orchids here than cowslips!
So pretty!
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen.
DeleteLooking at all these pretty flowers is a great way to start my morning. Thanks Roy.
ReplyDeleteThanks Denise.
DeleteA lovely, cheerful sight as the rain beats on the windows yet again Roy! I never seem to see Corncockles here, I wonder why.
ReplyDeleteI don't see the Welsh Poppy (on your previous post) growing wild here but it grows freely in my garden and must have been seeded by birds I think!
I also enjoyed the Large Skipper photos on the earlier post.
