I have photographed the Meadow Crane's-bill on a number of occasions in the past, but I found these in amongst long grass. What made them more attractive was the time of day. It was early evening and the sun was being blocked by a storm cloud that was passing over in the distance.
I shot the three images at an elevated angle using the available light, which was located behind the subject.
I was using a Lumix TZ10 to take the shots.
