Another day of storm dodging on my latest parkland walk.
It did provide for some dramatic cloud scenes though.
The changing light conditions also made some unusual views on the water
Corn Marigolds in the forefront brighten up this image.
A herd of beef cows were grazing on the open meadows. Oddly enough they were constantly on the move and I would think from that behaviour they had only recently been let out onto the area.
Of course in keeping with our current Summer then it rained again.
I found some good shelter under a canopy of tall trees from where I could look out onto one of the lakes.
Eventually the trees started to leak{:).
It stop after a while and I continued on my walk.
Baling in one of the meadows
Another Comma which was laying up and waiting for the sun to shine again.
Something was lurking on the water. {:)
With these dramatic storm cloud formations you can get some nice reflections on water if the sun is shining.

We were storm dodging in Suffolk... the skies were amazing! Lots of wildflowers but sadly very few butterflies (a couple of Meadow Browns and a Comma).
ReplyDeleteI love your photo of the cows by the river - like a Gainsborough sketch come to life.

DeleteSome lovely photos Roy, I especially like the ones of the cattle. We've been luckier with the weather here, it's been pretty decent during the days with the rain falling very conveniently overnight.
ReplyDeleteThanks Rowan, now if it could always do that, 'rain at night'.
DeleteYou take some really great photos to share with us of your walk Roy. Hope your weather starts improving. I've been having a chat with friends over there regularly, so I know what the weather has been like. I'm glad you can get out on the nice days.
ReplyDeleteThanks Denise.
